Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you can have it deleted.
1. Who We Are
Disabled Directory is operated by Disabled Adventures LLC, a Missouri limited liability company. We built this app for people with disabilities, their caregivers, and families.

2. What Data We Collect
We collect the following information when you use our app:
- Account information: Email address and username when you create an account
- Profile data: Optional information you add to your profile
- Medical ID: Health information you voluntarily enter (stored only on your device — never sent to our servers)
- Forum posts and comments: Content you post in the community forum
- Location data: Approximate location to find accessible places near you (only when you use the directory search)
- Device information: Device type and operating system for app functionality
- Usage data: How you interact with the app to improve our service
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the Disabled Directory app and its features
- To allow you to post in the Community Forum
- To send you push notifications (only if you opt in)
- To display relevant local accessibility listings near you
- To process Pro subscriptions through RevenueCat
- To improve app performance and fix bugs
- To display ads through Google AdMob (free users only)
4. Data We Do NOT Collect
- Your Medical ID data — this stays on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers
- Payment information — handled entirely by Google Play, Apple App Store, or RevenueCat
- Precise GPS location stored on our servers
5. How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Specifically:
- Account data (email, username): Kept until you delete your account
- Forum posts and comments: Kept until you delete them or delete your account
- Location data: Not stored on our servers — used in real time only
- Usage/analytics data: Retained for up to 12 months then automatically deleted
- Deleted account data: Permanently removed from our servers within 30 days of account deletion
6. How to Delete Your Data
You can delete your data at any time in two ways:
- In the app: Go to the More screen and tap "Delete My Account." This permanently deletes your account and all associated data within 30 days.
- By email: Send a deletion request to disabledadventures13@gmail.com and we will process it within 30 days.
Note: Medical ID data is stored only on your device. To delete it, simply clear the Medical ID fields in the app or uninstall the app.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following trusted services that help operate our app:
- Supabase: Database and authentication hosting
- RevenueCat: Subscription management
- Google AdMob: Advertising (free users only)
- Anthropic: AI-powered Pill Identifier feature
- Google Places: Location-based business search
- Expo/EAS: Push notifications
8. Children's Privacy
Disabled Directory is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
9. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure database storage to protect your data. Your password is never stored in plain text.
10. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of push notifications at any time in your device settings
- Opt out of personalized ads through your device's ad settings
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
